After 2 months (to the day) of use on by two dogs, I have finally decided to compile the below ADAPTIL Calm On‑The‑Go Collar review.

Two dogs sitting calm together

Do you know that dogs go through fear and anxiety? Well, you may or may not know. Either way, it would interest you to know that over 70% of dogs display anxiety. The fact of the matter is, there are certain activities, environmental conditions and situations that agitate your pup.

As dog owners, the last thing we want is for our loved pet to have ongoing fear or anxiety in its life. This is simply because several studies have shown that dogs with fear and anxiety disorders have decreased lifespan and increased disease frequency and severity. They can also cause complex and ongoing challenges, including persistent nuisance barking, howling, digging, pacing and other activities that upset you and your neighbours.

Why the ADAPTIL Calm on-the-go Collar?

There are many options when it comes to dog collars, they vary in function and capability, but more specifically, positive or negative based reinforcement. When we consider negative based reinforcement, shock collars are often used. While we can not rule them out, they are generally seen as a last resort or to assist when with problems where there are multiple issues to resolve.

Negative or shock collars can also increase anxiety and tension within the dog. When this happens, your pet becomes aggressive and fearful. When you have an aggressive and fearful dog, you can impact the quality time you spend with him.

Therefore, managing dog related problems with positive based training delivers an overall better long and short term outcome.

About the Calm On-The-Go Collar

The Adaptil Calm Collar is black plastic-type material that sends calming messages to your dog. It is designed to put your pet in the right mood at all times. Once worn around your pet’s neck, it mimics the mother dog’s natural appeasing pheromones, thus helping the pet stay calm.

Keep in mind that if your dog is always panting, barking, whining, hiding and pacing, these are the symptoms of fear and anxiety.

The good thing, however, is that the ADAPTIL Calm collar helps you to calm his frayed nerves. As you know, your pet needs to remain calm in situations such as training, firestorms, thunderstorms, noises, and boarding. This way, you can keep him happy, have less worries and improve his lifespan.

The results can be mixed with the collar, it works really well for some dogs, but others there is little to no change. For the cost and simplicity, it’s worth a try for at least a month if not two.

Help Your Dog Live Longer

Unfortunately, dogs don’t live as long as humans because they have a lifespan of 10 – 18 years. To make matters worse, many dogs don’t get to stay for that long for many different reasons, including fear and anxiety disorders. But then, wouldn’t you love to see your pup stay for over a decade or more? Here’s the thing, the longer your pet lasts, the higher your opportunities of exercising, strolling and socializing with him. It is also noteworthy that when you do all this with your pup, you lower your blood pressure, cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

Furthermore, when you hang out with your pet, you also keep loneliness and depression at bay. It is a win-win deal! Remember, all this and more are possible when you have the ADAPTIL collar around your pup’s neck.

Given its numerous benefits, there is no gainsaying that this collar mirrors an enormous value wrapped in one product. Without mincing words, you can increase your pup’s lifespan if you can help him stay calm at all times. Now you know the untold secret of increasing your dog’s lifespan.

Conclusion

In summary, based on using the product for my own dogs and seeing the results, I recommend giving the collar a try. For the cost, its an easy entry point and if you don’t see results there is no considerable loss or item that needs to be returned or re-sold like some of the more expensive products on the market.

For me the results speak for themselves, see a pic of our pups sleeping, where they previously barked for the entire day. Note, this is combined with my 104-point dog barking program.
